General terms and conditions for visitors to the Sensors & Instrumentation Exhibition

1. Definitions and Interpretation

1.1.In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings:

“Company” or “us” or “we” refers to Datateam Business Media Ltd, 15a London Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME168LY. Company Number 1771113. Registered in England and Wales.

“Visitor” or “you” means any individual, firm or corporate body (which expression shall, where the context so admits, include its successors and assigns) which makes a Registration with the Company to attend the Sensors & Instrumentation Exhibition & Conferences/Seminars.

“Registration” means the application by a person for free admission to the Exhibition and Conferences and the Company’s acceptance of the application; “Supplier” means any individual, firm or corporate body (which expression shall, where the context so admits, include its successors and assigns) which supplies products or services to Media Owners;

“Media Owner” means any individual, firm or corporate body (which expression shall, where the context so admits, include its successors and assigns) whose main business is to create and supply edited content through publications, the Internet, events or other media distribution channels.

“Conferences/Seminars” mean that part of Sensors & Instrumentation where Visitors attend in order to hear from expert Speakers and participate in group discussion in the main exhibition hall.

“Exhibition” means that part of Sensors & Instrumentation where Suppliers Register to meet and talk to Visitors in the main exhibition hall.

2. Application

2.1.These Terms & Conditions shall apply to all visitors attending Sensors & Instrumentation (incorporating Micro Nano MEMS and Connecting Industry Live!) hereby referred to as the “Exhibition”, “Show” or “Event”.
2.2.These Terms and Conditions shall also apply to all persons or organisations who the Company engages with, in the context of Sensors & Instrumentation, and who are present during the course of the Show, including but not restricted to Speakers, Contractors and Photographers.
2.3.All offers and invitations are made, and Registrations accepted, subject to these Terms and Conditions and no addition to, or variation of, such Terms and Conditions shall be binding unless agreed to by the Company in writing.
2.4.Any Registrations made with and confirmed by the Company shall constitute unqualified acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2.5.In the event of conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other terms and conditions (of the Visitor or otherwise); the former shall prevail unless expressly otherwise agreed by the Company in writing.
2.6.The Company reserves the right to alter and update Terms and Conditions from time to time. Those in force for an individual or organisation will be the version applicable at the time of Registration.

3. Event organisation

3.1.The Company will use reasonable care and skill in providing the Sensors & Instrumentation Exhibition, including the Conferences and Seminars.

4. Entry and Booking

4.1.The Visitor does not have to pay for entry into the Exhibition or Conferences.
4.2.Conference/Seminar places for Visitors are limited and are offered subject to availability.
4.3.Visitor registration includes one person’s entry to the Exhibition and Conferences/Seminars. Registration does not include travel to or from the Event, any accommodation or other costs incurred in attending the Show.

5. Visitor Rules & Regulations

5.1.During attendance at the Conferences/Seminars or any visit to the Exhibition a Visitor agrees to comply with the following:
5.1.1.You shall behave in accordance with safety regulations, public order regulations, and other rules applying.
5.1.2. You shall be obliged to immediately follow any directions and instructions given by officials of Sensors & Instrumentation or venue staff. Should any official consider that a Visitor is behaving in any manner that contravenes regulations, standards, directions or instructions, he/she may be expelled and / or denied further attendance at the Conference/Seminar or admission to the Exhibition.
5.1.3. You shall not hinder other visitors, including, but not exclusively, by blocking for a long period their view of presentations or exhibition displays or by making noise or causing other nuisance.
5.1.4.You shall not eat food except in the cafe/restaurant and the outside areas; this being without prejudice to the obligation to consume some form of refreshment when using the cafe/restaurant; food and bottles of drinks may not be taken into the exhibition areas.
5.1.5.You shall only use a mobile phone or other electronic equipment with consideration of other people.
5.1.6.You shall not touch objects on display unless this is explicitly permitted.
5.1.7.You shall not take photographs or make video or film recordings without written consent of the Company.
5.1.8.You shall not carry out any commercial activity or promotion except on exhibition stands without the prior agreement of the Company.
5.1.9.You shall hand in lost property found to a member of the staff or to reception desk of the Show.
5.1.10.You shall keep within the areas of the Show and Conference venue that Visitors are permitted admission to.
5.1.11.You shall not undertake any ambush marketing, or conduct promotions or commercial activities outside of the reasonable remit of an Exhibition Visitor.
5.1.12. You shall not infringe the rights of any sponsors, suppliers, broadcasters or other parties commercially associated with the Exhibition.

6. General Rules & Regulations

6.1.No one under the age of 16 will be able to attend Sensors & Instrumentation due to Health & Safety Regulations.
6.2.Any Visitors found to be in possession of prohibited items such as sharp objects and other weapons, fireworks, politically sensitive material and anything else likely to cause offence or harm will have said item(s) confiscated by authorised personnel and may be ejected from the Venue or refused entry. The item(s) will be disposed of without compensation and you the relevant authorities may be informed.
6.3.Professional photography, filming and broadcasting may be carried out at the Show and Visitors agree that any images featuring them can be used for promotional purposes in perpetuity, without compensation or credit.
6.4.Exhibition Visitors are entitled to access the Conference/Seminar sessions subject to availability.
6.5.A Visitor shall be liable for any damage caused by any object (or similar) which he/she has taken with him/her. All bags may be subject to searches.
6.6.Smoking is prohibited within the venue, and only acceptable in designated areas.
6.7.Confirmations of Registration are valid for both days of the Show, during opening times only.
6.8.A Visitor shall enter the Show and venue at his/her own expense and risk.
6.9.The Company will endeavour to provide Visitors and others interested in the Show with up to date information and other information relating to the Show but cannot be held liable for non-receipt of that information.
6.10.Visitors should advise of any special access requirements at the time of registration.

7. Data, Privacy & Communication

7.1.By registering your details via the Exhibition website, you acknowledge that data provided is accurate at the point of submission. Any changes to your personal details must be communicated to us at the earliest opportunity to ensure our records are accurate.
7.2.We reserve the right to send you service emails about the Exhibition or to provide information about your account. We might contact you based on the preferences and interests you select upon registration, or if we have the legitimate interest to do so.
7.3.By registering for Sensors & Instrumentation Exhibition, you are being provided with a unique visitor badge which allows you access to TCT Show, PPMA Show and What’s New In Electronics LIVE. When you attend, you will be asked to have your badge scanned in order to access some or all Exhibitor Shows. In doing so you will provide those Exhibitors with the contact information you submitted when registering for Sensors & Instrumentation Exhibition.
7.4.If you do not wish to be contacted by other Exhibitors, do not allow them to scan your badge.
7.5.Datateam Business Media Ltd, the operator of Sensors & Instrumentation 2018, will not share your personal information with exhibitors unless consent has been obtained from you.

8. Notes

These terms and conditions are governed by and in accordance with English law. Jurisdiction for any dispute settlement will be held in an English court.

Datateam may change these terms from time to time. You should check them regularly and cease using the websites if you do not agree to be bound by these terms.
